Terry is a Spiritan priest who lived in Sierra Leone for 20 years. During this time, there was a civil war between 1991 and 2002. Interreligious dialogue was at the heart of Terry’s work and he was also involved in projects which championed social justice.

Terry ran a Catholic radio station and worked with many schools and parishes. He was also appointed by the government to a team investigating corruption which resulted in several failed assassination attempts on his life.
